In 2014, after a successful business career in technology, I started on a more creative path in film, TV and digital media production.
I became part of the production team of the award-winning film THE LAST MAN ON THE MOON, from Mark Stewart Productions, directed by Mark Craig, and produced by Gareth Dodds. This wonderful and award winning film examines the life of astronaut Captain Gene Cernan – astronaut. moonwalker and commander of Apollo 17.
I then became Executive Producer for the documentary DYING LAUGHING – a study of the craft, creative process and psychology of the great stand-up comedians.
Along the way, I founded Haviland Digital Limited. We’ve since produced major feature documentaries including:
MISSION CONTROL: THE UNSUNG HEROES OF APOLLO. The story of a group of people who became an extraordinary team and put a man on the Moon.
SPITFIRE. The story of an aeroplane that was forged in competition, shaped as the war clouds gathered, and refined in the white heat of combat.
ARMSTRONG. A major documentary about a father, husband, pilot, Moonwalker and reluctant hero.
I’ve also had the privilege of helping the production of Robert Stone’s CHASING THE MOON – the epic PBS TV series about the space race. We have other documentaries and dramatic films in development and early production.
